Torontonians answered the call to war by enlisting in the armed forces, producing munitions and equipment and by helping on the home front. This temporary installation highlights stories of the people and places along Toronto’s waterfront that shaped the war effort during World War I and World War II.
Historical documents, photographs, and artifacts honour the sacrifice of Torontonians, show how communities did their part to support the war on the home front and explain how Toronto, along the waterfront was forever transformed by war.
Join us for our "History Lab" Open House Event, Sunday, October 25th, 2026 between 2:00-4:00p.m. Everyone is welcome!
